The Geary Community Schools Foundation recently announced that its 2026 Major Saver Fall Campaign will run during the month of September.

Schools throughout the district will participate in Freedom Walks on Patriot Day, which occurs on Friday, Sept. 11, in memory of those who lost their lives in 2001.

The No. 8 ranked Junction City High School football teams season opener on Friday, Sept. 4 versus No. 7 Hays High School will now kickoff at 7:30 p.m.

What started as a simple effort to bring back a morning announcement program has grown into something much more meaningful at the H.D. Karns Alternative School.

What started as an idea shared by two educators has grown into something much bigger, a living legacy taking root across Junction City High School.
